Schools Focus of 28th Prayers Conference in Iran
TEHRAN (IQNA) – The 28th edition of a national conference featuring prayers will be held in the northeastern city of Gorgan, Golestan province, in fall.
Mahmoud Mozaffar, deputy head of the country’s State Headquarters of Promoting Islamic Prayers, told IQNA that “Prayers and School” will be the main theme of this year’s event.
He noted that in a message to the previous edition of the conference last year, Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei had underlined the need for paying more attention to the issue of prayers in schools.
According to Mozaffar, role of clerics in promoting congregational prayers in schools, parents’ role in encouraging their children to say prayers, and role of students in promoting prayers in schools are among the subjects to be discussed at the conference.
