According to the information website of Husseini holy shrine in Karbala, the course was held from August 28 with the participation of 40 students and lecturers from various universities in Iraq.
Dar-ol-Quran Center of Imam Hussein’s (AS) holy shrine hosted the closing ceremony of the course on September 21 and the participants at the course were granted certificates.
Seyyed Afdhal Al-Shami, deputy of the secretary general of the official council of Husseini holy shrine and a number of the council's members were present at the ceremony.
Addressing the ceremony, Sheikh Hassan Al-Mansouri, head of the center said that the Quranic course was held with the aim of training experts actively involved in Quranic-cultural arenas, particularly in academic levels.
The Quran activists will play an influential role to encourage university students to get acquainted with Quranic teachings and prevent them to be misguided, he added.
