According to alwatanvoice.com, the course is sponsored by Imam Al-Shatibi Institute for Quran Memorization in Lebanon.
As many as 38 male and female students at high-school level have taken the two-month course.
The classes are held four hours a day during which the interpretation of the Quranic verses in Juzes (parts) 29 and 30 is instructed in sign language.
As well as the interpretation of Quranic meanings, the students will get acquainted with the interpretation of Nabawi Hadiths and religious injunctions and rituals including those related to prayers and fasting and purity (tahara).
The Dar-ol-Quran Al-Karim and Sunnah in the Gaza Strip has successfully organized two workshops on Quran interpretation for the hearing-impaired in 2013 and 2014.
