Takfiri Element Arrested in Tunisia for Desecrating Quran
TEHRAN (IQNA) – Tunisia’s interior ministry said a Takfiri element has been detained by security forces in the coastal town of al-Marsa for desecrating Islam’s Holy Book.
According to arrakmia.com website, the man was arrested in his home earlier this week.
He has confessed to have stolen several copies of the Quran from a nearby mosque and kept them in conditions deemed to be disrespectful.
The town’s prosecutor has allowed the police to keep the man in custody until trial.
Tunisia is a country in North Africa where some 99 percent of the people are Muslim.
