Qassem Muslih said Baghdad and Damascus have coordinated the presence of Iraqi forces in Syria to tackle Daesh.
He further slammed the US forces in Syria for their espionage activities along the Iraq-Syria border.
Muslih said the American forces are gathering intel to help Daesh attack Iraqi forces.
He also dismissed the US government’s claim that it has started pulling American forces out of Syria, saying there has been no withdrawal yet.
US President Donald Trump said in December that he would order all of the US forces in Syria to withdraw from the country.
The US began its air campaign in Syria in 2014, deploying troops to the country to purportedly assist in the fight against terrorism without any authorization from the Damascus government.
