Iran to Attend Quran Int’l Quran Contests in Algeria, Jordan, Turkey

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Iran’s representatives will take part in international Quran competitions in Algeria, Jordan and Turkey during the holy month of Ramadan.

 

According to the Committee for Inviting and Dispatching Qaris, affiliated to the Awqaf and Charity Affairs Organization, Mojtaba Mohammadbeigi (Qari) and Saeed Shahrokhi (memorizer) will compete for Iran in Turkey’s 7th international Quranic event.

They will leave for Istanbul on May 20.

Iran will also send Mohammad Hossein Behzadfar, a memorizer of the entire Quran, to Algeria. The North African country’s international Quran contest is slated for May 24-30.

Quran memorizer Mohammad Rasoul Takbiri has also been selected by the committee to represent Iran in the international Quran competition of Jordan, which is slated for June 15-20.

Meanwhile, Hamid Reza Valimohammadi is in the UAE attending the 23rd Dubai International Quran Award.
