Quran Expo an Effort to Promote Quran’s Teachings

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Head of the 27th Tehran International Quran Exhibition said mounting the expo has been an effort aimed at encouraging implementation of Quranic teachings in everyday life.

 

Speaking at the closing ceremony of the exhibition’s 27th edition, Abdol Hadi Feqhizadeh, who is also the Iranian Culture Ministry’s Quran and Etrat Deputy, added that organizing the expo was not a symbolic move but one whose aim was promotion of seeking the meaning of life in the Holy Book.

He thanked all of those who cooperated in holding the major Quranic event and hoped that such events would help to enhance the Quranic culture especially among children and teenagers.

Also addressing the ceremony, held at the Imam Khomeini (RA) Mosalla (prayer hall) on Saturday night, was Mohammad Mehdi Aziz-Zadeh, an official with the organizing committee, who said 87 institutes and 66 governmental, academic and seminary institutions contributed to holding this year’s exhibition.

He also said that a focus on the Quranic style of life was among the features of this year’s event compared to the previous years.

The 27th Tehran International Quran Exhibition got underway on May 11 at the Imam Khomeini (RA) Mosalla with the motto of “Quran, Meaning of Life”.

It was attended by representatives from various countries, including Iraq, Lebanon, Russia, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Indonesia and Tunisia.

The exhibition is annually organized by the Iranian Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance in the holy month of Ramadan.

It is aimed at promoting Quranic concepts and developing Quranic activities.

It showcases the latest Quranic achievements in the country as well as a variety of products dedicated to the promotion of the Holy Book.
