Night of Qadr Rituals in Karbala

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Lailatul-Qadr (Night of Qadr) rituals were observed on Sunday night, the 21st day of the holy month of Ramadan, by Muslims all over the world.

In the holy city of Karbala, Iraq, Shia pilgrims observed Night of Qadr rituals and mourned the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Ali (AS), the first Shia Imam, at the holy shrines of Imam Hussein (AS) and Hazrat Abbas (AS).

The most important thing of the holy month of Ramadan is the Night of Qadr (Lailatul-Qadr) - the night which is superior to a thousand months.

Lailatul Qadr means the night of honor and dignity. It is this night in which the first Divine Revelation came to the heart of the Holy Prophet of Islam (PBUH).
