Conference in Tehran to Discuss Quran-Based Humanities
TEHRAN (IQNA) – The third conference on Quran-based humanities will be held at the Allameh Tabataba’i University here in Tehran.
Slated for March 14, it will be organized virtually, Hamireza Basiri, the secretary of the conference said.
He added that the scientific bases of Allameh Tabatabaei’s views will be the main focus of this year’s conference.
Papers will also be presented in three specialized forums on “Foundations of Quran-based humanities”, “Issues of Quran based humanities”, and “Psychology of Quran-based humanities”, Basiri added.
Allameh Seyyed Mohammad Hussein Tabatabai, (March 1903 – November 1981) was one of the most prominent thinkers in modern Shia Islam.
He is perhaps best known for his Tafsir Al-Mizan, a twenty-seven-volume work of Tafsir (Quranic exegesis), which he produced between 1954 and 1972.
