Encyclopedia of World of Islam: 27th Volume Published
TEHRAN (IQNA) – The 27th volume of Encyclopedia of World of Islam was published in Iran.
According to the EncyclopaediaIslamica Foundation, a non-profitable organization whose main objective is to compile the Encyclopedia of the World of Islam, this volume has a total of 603,000 words.
Its entries are in 17 fields that range from contemporary Islam, history of Islam, geography and philosophy to arts and architecture.
The 27th volume of the encyclopedia has been published in Persian in 858 pages.
The Foundation was established in Tehran in 1983, launching its activities in the field of research about the world of Islam and Iran, gradually turning into one of the credible centers for encyclopedia writing in the field of the world of Islam.
