Iranian Students Quran Festival Concludes

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The 35th edition of the Quran and Etrat Festival of Iranian university students wrapped up in a ceremony in Isfahan.

 

Winners of the festival’s competitions were announced and awarded at the closing ceremony, held at Isfahan University of Technology on Sunday.

The competitions were held in different categories, including Quran recitation and memorization, Adhan (call to prayers), Tawasheeh (religious singing), Nahj-ol-Balaqa, Sahifeh Sajjadiyeh, arts (calligraphy, painting, films, photography, etc), literary (poetry, plays, short stories, etc), and research.

“Muhammad (PBUH) Prophet of Mercy and Kindness” was the motto of this edition.

Addressing the closing ceremony, Iranian Minister of Sciences, Research and Technology Mansour Gholami underlined that his ministry will do its utmost to promote Quranic teachings in universities.

The Quran and Etrat festival is annually organized by the science ministry to promote Quranic activities and identify Quranic talents among the students.
