TEHRAN (IQNA) – The head of the Astan Quds Razavi said the hegemonic powers are afraid of unity among Muslims.

Hojat-ol-Islam Ahmad Marvi

Speaking in a meeting in Mashhad, northeast Iran with a number of Muslim scholars from India, Hojat-ol-Islam Ahmad Marvi said the ill-wishers who want to harm Islam and Muslims, especially the US, Britain and the Zionist regime, have always feared the power of the Muslim world.

They know that unity among Muslims will lead to the annihilation of the enemies of Islam, he stated.

The cleric further highlighted the decisive role that India’s Muslims played in the country’s independence from Britain, saying that without their support, defeating the colonist British would not have been possible.

He warned that colonialists still seek to divide people in India by fomenting tensions between Muslims and Hindus.

They are not going to serve the interests of either group but are after their own evil, colonialist objectives, Hojat-ol-Islam Marvi went on to say.
