TEHRAN (IQNA) – There are numerous verses in the Holy Quran that point to humankind’s need for prophets. These verses explain the concept and position of prophets.

What follows are some of these verses.

“Every nation has its Messenger. Then, when their Messenger comes the matter is justly decided between them; they are not wronged.” (Surah Yunus, verse 47)

“We have sent you with the truth, a bearer of glad tidings and warning, for there is no nation, that has not had a warner pass away in it.” (Surah Fatir, verse 24)

“Indeed, Guidance is Ours.” (Surah Al-Lail, verse 12)

“Who is a better judge than Allah?” (Surah Al-Ma'idah, verse 50)

“Say: 'Allah alone has the conclusive proof. Had He willed, He would have guided you all’.” (Surah Al-An’am, verse 149)

One cannot say that he could not determine the right from the wrong path because no excuse can be accepted as prophets have been appointed by God to guide people.

“But Allah sought to accomplish what He had ordained, so that by clear evidence, he who was destined to perish might perish, and he who was destined to live might live.” (Surah Al-Anfal, verse 42)

Yes, the path should be clear so that people can have their choices based on knowledge and freedom.

“Messengers bearing glad tidings and warning, so that the people will have no argument against Allah, after the Messengers. Allah is the Almighty, the Wise.” (Surah An-Nisa, verse 165)

“Had We destroyed them with a punishment before this, they would have said: 'Our Lord, why did You not send us a Messenger so that we could have followed Your verses before we were humiliated and degraded’.” (Surah Taha, verse 134)
