Iraqi Girls Attend Takleef Celebration in Karbala

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The Astan (custodianship) of Hazrat Abbas (AS) holy shrine organized a Takleef celebration for girls in the holy city of Karbala.

It was held near the holy mausoleum of Imam Hussein (AS) ahead of the holy month of Ramadan.  

Girl students from schools all over Karbala took part in the program.

Takleef marks the start of religious obligations for individuals.

Thursday marks the beginning of the blessed month of Ramadan in Iraq as well as many other countries in the Middle East and elsewhere.

Ramadan is a period of prayer, fasting, charity giving and self–accountability for Muslims around the world
