Quran Olympiad of Quranic Sciences & Teachings University Concludes

The closing ceremony of the third Quran and Hadith Olympiad of Quranic Sciences and Teachings University was held on Thursday, May 9.
It was held at Yavaran-e-Mahdi Cultural Complex in the holy city of Qom after the Mghrib and Isha prayers, IQNA’s Qom branch reported.
Addressing the function, chancellor of the university Hojat-ol-Islam Ahmad Aedi said Quranic arts, such as the art of recitation, have greatly helped the promotion p the Quranic culture.
He also said the solution to all problems lies in acting upon the Quranic culture and the teachings of the Holy Book.
Quran and Etrat Deputy of the Culture Ministry Hojat-ol-Islam Hamid Mohammadi also addressed the ceremony, describing the art of Quran recitation as one of the most beautiful and sublime human arts.
He said the art of reciting the Holy Quran should develop all over the country.
Referring to the activities of the University of Quranic Sciences and Teachings, Hojat-ol-Islam Mohammadi said developing the Quranic culture in society is one of the main missions of the university.
“The university must work to develop Quranic knowledge, faith and action,” he went on to say.
Elsewhere in the program, Secretary of the Olympiad Ali Asghar Shojaei said a specialized session of the university’s Quran experts was held on the sidelines of the Olympiad.
