TEHRAN (IQNA) – A fire broke out in a mosque in Tral in the Indian-administered Kashmir, damaging the building.

Locals told The Kashmiriyat that on Tuesday morning they spotted flames emerging from the Noor ul Islam Mosque in the area, after which the locals rushed out of their homes to control the fire.

Within some time the men of fire and emergency services also reached the spot and tried to bring the fire under control, they said.

The mosque has suffered massive damage during the fire incident, however, nobody has suffered injuries.

Masjid e Noor ul Islam also has an Islamic seminary where scores of children are provided Islamic education, locals said.

The cause of the fire is not known yet.
