TEHRAN (IQNA) – All religions must speak up with a unanimous voice against the ongoing Israeli massacre of the Palestinian people, a senior cleric said.

International forum on condemnation of the Zionist regime’s crimes in Gaza

Addressing an international forum on condemnation of the Zionist regime’s crimes in Gaza, Ayatollah Ahmad Moballeghi said the Zionist atrocities in the Gaza Strip have made the most vicious criminals in history look innocent.

The forum was held Wednesday by the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization with the participation of religious leaders and thinkers.

The Zionist regime’s moves to cut off electricity and water to Gaza, killing women and children, and destroying mosques, and churches and hospitals are happening before the eyes of humanity, he deplored.

These crimes have hurt the feelings of all human beings, not just Muslims, he stressed.

Ayatollah Moballeghi said all religions have one voice today and must speak up unanimously against the Israeli regime’s atrocities.

“We should shed light on the human aspect of these crimes,” he went on to say.

Mawlavi Ishaq Madani, the next speaker, hailed the Al-Aqsa Flood Operation launched by the Hamas resistance movement against Israel and said the Zionist should know that the Palestinian people will one day create a greater storm and uproot the Zionist regime.

He slammed the Israeli crimes against Palestinian civilians and said any noble-thinking person would agree that defenseless people should not be attacked.

Even wars have laws that must be respected, he stressed, adding that the Zionist moves run counter to the teachings of Judaism as well.

In a video conference message to the conference, Mar Awa III, the patriarch of the Assyrian Church of the East, said Christians condemn the killing of innocent women, children and elderly people in Gaza and the bombing of churches, temples, hospitals and other buildings under which innocent people had taken shelter.

He called on all nations and international organizations, especially the United Nations, to act upon their intrinsic responsibility and move to establish peace and justice and play an active role in stopping such inhumane atrocities.

Hormoz Khosraviani, a representative of Iranian Zoroastrians, in his address deplored the silence of the so-called human rights advocates on the killing of innocent people in Gaza.

Other speakers also condemned the Israeli massacre of people in Gaza as a crime against humanity and genocide and called on all noble people in the world to spare no efforts to prevent more tragedies in the besieged enclave.
