IQNA – In a video that has surfaced on social media, hundreds of Palestinian men are shown detained in a stadium in Gaza, stripped down to their underwear and subjected to degrading treatment by Israeli soldiers.

The distressing footage depicts Israeli tanks bulldozing parts of the stadium, which has reportedly been transformed into a makeshift detention camp, Al Jazeera reported on Monday.

The video was reportedly captured by an Israeli photographer embedded with the regime’s milirary, according to local news agency Quds Network.

The detainees, including men, children, and a naked man in a wheelchair, are seen walking with their hands raised above their heads, forced to sit in the cold with their hands handcuffed behind them. At one point, an Israeli soldier is shown holding a Palestinian baby wrapped in a blanket.

Human rights organizations and the United Nations have previously documented instances of Israeli forces conducting summary executions of Palestinians detained after evacuating shelters and displacement camps. Such actions are considered violations of international humanitarian law, particularly the Geneva Conventions, which mandate the humane treatment and protection of all prisoners of war.

Underlining the gravity of the situation, CAIR National Executive Director Nihad Awad issued a statement condemning the incident: “There can be no justification for seeking to humiliate hundreds of men, women, the disabled and elderly, and even a baby, through this kind of disgusting public display. There must be an international investigation of this incident and of the many other Israeli war crimes in Gaza.”

Despite Israel's claims that stripping prisoners is a security measure to uncover hidden weapons, critics argue that such justifications do not explain the continued humiliation of detainees after no weapons are found.

The video, captured by an Israeli photojournalist, lacks specific details regarding the location and date of the war crime.

The Israeli regime's relentless attacks on the besiged Gaza Strip since October 7 has killed more than 20,000 people, mostly women and children.
