Mohammad Anjomshoa, head of Iran’s Union of Quranic Institutes, told IQNA that the MoUs have been inked with institutes in India, Thailand, Pakistan and Russia.

He said they were signed during a recent international conference titled Risalat Allah (Messages of Allah) in Tehran.

The cooperation will be implemented through the Safiran 2 plan whose aim is expanding Quranic activities in other countries, he stated.

Anjomshoa noted that grounds are being prepared for cooperation with more countries using the available capacities.

He added that the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO) is tasked with identifying grassroots capacities in other countries for developing Quranic ties.

ICRO organized the Risalat Allah international Quranic conference at the University of Tehran’s Faculty of Theology on Saturday, January 6.

It was aimed at developing and enhancing Quranic diplomacy.
