Mahmoud Shahat Anwar’s Recitation at Opening of 2024 Port Said Quran Contest
IQNA – Prominent Egyptian qari Mahmoud Shahat Anwar recited verses 107-110 of Surah Al-Kahf at the inauguration ceremony of 7th edition of Port Said international Holy Quran.
The ceremony was held on February 2, 2024, in Port Said with the country’s officials and contestants from 50 countries in attendance.
The contest has been organized in the categories of memorization of the Holy Quran and Ibtihal. This year’s edition has been named after renowned Egyptian qari Sheikh Shahat Muhammad Anwar (1950-2008), late father of Mahmoud Shahat Anwar.
