25 Countries Expected to Participate at Tehran Int’l Quran Exhibition

IQNA – Organizers of the 2024 edition of the Tehran International Quran Exhibition say 25 countries are set to participate in the event.

This is according to Shobeir Firouzian, head of Quran and Etrat Deputy of Iran’s Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance.

Speaking in a press conference on Tuesday about the upcoming exhibition, he noted that 25 countries, including Turkey, Algeria, Senegal, Russia, India, France, South Africa, China, and Canada will participate in the event.

The international section of the competition will open on March 20 and will run for seven days, he added.

“Tehran Quranic Meeting” will also be held on the sidelines of the event with the participation of culture ministers from five Islamic countries, he said. 

The Imam Khomeini (RA) Mosallah (prayer hall) is going to host the international Quranic event from March 20 to April 2. Like the previous edition, this year’s expo will be held with the motto “I read you”.

“One of the important and pivotal sections of the Quran exhibition is the children’s section,” he said, noting that “special programs” such as games and theatre will be held.

Simple iftar meals will be provided to visitors, he said.

One of the other sections at the exhibition features Quranic research and consultation, he said, adding that each year, a significant number of attendees come specifically for consultations centering on the Quran. “The Quran offers plans and solutions for all kinds of problems.”

He noted that 160 book publishers have expressed readiness to offer religious books in the event.

This year's exhibition features a popular section on Iranian and Islamic clothing, he said, adding that 205 producers will offer their products at the event.

The Tehran International Quran Exhibition is annually organized by the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance in the holy month of Ramadan.

The exhibition is aimed at promoting Quranic concepts and developing Quranic activities.

It showcases the latest Quranic achievements in the country as well as a variety of products dedicated to the promotion of the Holy Book.
